The first games of the Alliance of American Football (AAF) are this weekend. I haven't followed it and at this point I'm not that interested. However, a friend called me all excited. He said CBS will be carrying all the games... that seems interesting. I seen an NFL Network logo on the AAF website... that seems interesting.
What's your take? Is your DVR set? Why should I care?

Play, isn't being the NFL's AAA league the CFL's job?
without the NFL’s blessing, the games don’t get on TV. Everyone wants in on the next NFL TV contract. Possible bidders aren’t televising AAF games without NFL approval. Without TV, no chance of survival. [Reply]

It's a start up minor league football league. Minor league baseball, D-league basketball sucks when compared to the big show versions.
The biggest drop off I see is the QB position. Playing QB is hard. The NFL doesnt even have 32 good starting QB's. Then there are 32 backups. So.... your seeing the 65th at best, QB to play football.
Maybe find some diamonds in the rough in the OL/DL but I doubt there is a QB out there who will prove he is a starting QB in the NFL. [Reply]
