Otherwise, have fun, talk shit, freak out and lose your goddamned minds. It's Draft Weekend. The hot takes in these threads are so funny. I'll also be starting player threads for each of our picks as they are made, with videos and notable stats/takes in the OP. These separate threads will be made as soon as the news breaks, outside of this thread. I will link the threads below. Pure knee-jerk gold to reference in the future.

Here are our picks:

Round 1, #28: Xavier Worthy
Round 2, #63: Kingsley Suamataia
Round 4, #131: Jared Wiley
Round 4, #133: Jaden Hicks
Round 5, #159: Hunter Nourzad
Round 6, #211: Kamal Hadden
Round 7, #248: C.J. Hanson

Here is a list of the prospects the Chiefs have shown interest in this year.

I’m very much a trust Veach guy but damn, a second round pick for a guy that is essentially what we already have is just an odd choice.
He's fucking better than Wayna with a much higher ceiling. Fuck he ways 20 more lbs and is more athletic.

They knew we wanted OT. This shit is just common sense connecting the dots. It’s not that difficult.
Once upon a time a fat dickless idiot named Sean Payton was pretty sure he could stay put at his draft pick and didn't bother trading up one spot. After all, why pay more for something when you're pretty likely to get what you want at the normal cost?

He now coaches the Denver Broncos and will eventually get fired from that job in shame.

The moral of the story: If you're 100% locked in on a single player and you have a draft shopping list that's pretty short, quit fucking around and just go get your fucking guy to avoid anybody swooping in and ruining your day. Or career, for that matter.

Because blue chip LTs don’t make it where KC drafts. Instead they have to draft developmental LTs and hope they pan out while plugging in stop gaps.

yeah but his inconsistent power exertion sequencing concerns me. Maybe we can bring in a specialist?

It’s got nothing to do with being miserable you idiot. I’m questioning whether we needed to give up picks to draft the players we did. That’s called objective analysis which is obviously beyond your simple mind.

Upside vs ready to go in a second round pick are two very different things.

Because the best path forward is resigning Donovan Smith and putting him in comp with a developmental guy who was high on their draft board.

Smith would be a one year guy. Should we be aiming to have this situation again next year where we need to find a LT option?

Didn't expect to still get a high upside OT that late. Great for 2025 and beyond.

When you're not picking top 10, you have to throw more resources to figure out the arguably second most important position in football.

It is what it is.

For QB, yes, I agree. For a WR or project OT though? Why is it blasphemy to say that Veach likely reached? Newsflash - Veach also drafted Skyy Moore and Breeland Speaks.

Resign Donovan Smith for a year and let Morris and new guy battle for the role for 2025?

Dude...you moved up one spot, gave up position...to take the 11th tackle by the end of the 2nd round! And that was after moving up and giving up almost a full round of position for...John Ross Jr?

wtf??
