Like, he's better with the media than Mahomes. Mahomes is coooaaaaached. He says stuff after he runs through 17 guys to score a touchdown like "Yeah, I just need to thank my teammates for their great blocks..." when NOBODY BLOCKED ANYONE. He can be a little overly humble and cliched and boring.
Kelce, OTOH, is damn honest when he knows it won't cause a problem but gives absolutely perfect answers when he thinks it might. They ask him about Kittle and he drops "everyone in the world thinks the world of George Kittle..." and raves over his energy and passion and technique before calling the guy special.
And he sounds genuine.
Are we sure we don't have a Manchurian Tight End where someone starts speaking through him when they flip a switch? This dude is just so much different than who he was even 3 years ago and I just don't think you can ask for a better representative for this team.
Yeah, that's one of the few criticisms I have of Mahomes. He's a maniac on the field, but put a microphone in his face and he's pretty boring. [Reply]
It is pretty funny to see just how smug he can be when he's overly excited after a big play. That TD celebration where he threw up 10 fingers in Chicago was downright disrespectful :-) [Reply]
The Chiefs are getting on my nerves. They have become awfully full of themselves. It is a dangerous game they are playing right now, going into a Super Bowl against an extremely physical 49ers defense. More @Undisputed, now on FS1 https://t.co/5qvwmlTN5q

And I think that’s the real Pat....but it’s probably been hammered into him beginning at a young age that it’s not how QBs act. You’ll probably see more of that as he gets older. [Reply]

It definitely is. You don't get THAT good without being supremely confident in yourself. Growing up the son of a professional athlete pays dividends there, I guess. Also remember the team used to mock him for his voice to keep him from getting too overconfident :-) [Reply]
