In order to prevent us wasting precious years of Patrick Mahomes' career, Veach needs to work some magic this offseason. What's your advice for him? [Reply]
The guys in the draft forum know how much I love Bateman and Marshall. Either would be an awesome option at 31 should the Chiefs handle LT in FA or via trade. [Reply]

Will Bateman be there at 31 though? Have a feeling he's gunna go in the early 20s. I'd be good with trading up for him if needed. [Reply]
Throwing my hat in on Bateman as well. 6'2 220 and runs a 4.3, great hands, blocks well. He's Sammy v2 and I have no problem trading one of our seconds to move up to get him.
I also like Terrace Marshall though, just not as much. [Reply]

He has to know Cam Newton is getting him nowhere fast, and thus the 1-year deal again.
He had the pleasure of drafting low at the position from day 1 when he had Bledsoe. He lucked into Brady being an all-time great, then was able to continue to draft low at the position for 20 years. He doesn't have time to waste nor a QB of Bledsoe's caliber, much less Brady's caliber, starting for him.
He knows he can win with smart and accurate and Jones is both. I don't think he bets the farm on Jones being there later and I really don't think he settles for Kyle Trask or David Mills.
It's entirely possible he doesn't draft any of them, but it's just another year closer to retirement with no chance at anything. [Reply]
