WR Mike Williams leaves LA having earned $75.5M across 7 seasons with the #Chargers.

The former #7 overall pick now joins a fairly weak free agent WR class.https://t.co/WcJ7wBoj4s

Sure.

But drafting well means that you get a good starter every year, a fringe starter every year and a couple of solid bench contributors every year.

Over a long enough timeline, you just cannot expect stuff like the 2022 draft to keep happening. Nobody is THAT good.

But hell, if Veach is - damn the torpedoes, boys. We're winning 10 of these fuckers...

23 was pretty sporty as well with Rice and Connor showing out so far, 21 got 3 quality starters and a middling backup. It's a pretty good sample size.

The 22 draft is the standout, if we can keep hitting 21's and 23's we'll be fine.

I'm intrigued by Curtis Samuel.

He can be used in a ton of situations. Could really open up Andy's Beautiful Mind.

Yup.

We signed the best player available and the #12 ranked player in this FA class is under the tag.

Just because they were already Chiefs doesn't make it lackluster moves.

We went from taking a step back on defense (still likely Top 10ish) and focusing on offense to still being a potential Top 3 Defense and still having money to improve the offense.

Everyone needs to chil out and relax. Let Veach work his magic.

We re-signed James Winchester who was the #1 free agent IMHO

But last year's was worse.

This just appears to be the new normal. Ridley's probably as good as you'll see hit the FA market most years going forward.

Yeah, teams aren't letting guys better than that get away, hell, Jacksonville still may not.
