Do you like action packed, CGI movies with mild humor that are mostly completely unrealistic? Do you like that kind of content enough to ignore obvious plot holes?

If so, you'll like this one. If you're too uptight to understand that it's not a serious movie and it's not designed to be taken seriously, then you won't enjoy it.

It's like when people complain about the new TMNT movie or the Transformers movies. "That was soooo unrealistic" :-)

Some day adults will understand when they're watching a movie that's made for kids, and stop acting like it was suppose to be anything more than that. My 8yr old gave zero ****s about whether or not a chick can run in stilettos.
This was the very definition of a popcorn flick. Check your brain at the door.

I checked my brain at the door.....and was still bored for more than half the movie. The first half was almost unwatchable.

All of this is 100% accurate, only you're not factoring in that even as a popcorn flick, Jurassic World sucked ass. It was a money grab plain and simple, and it worked. Good for the studio. I did like the big fight at the end where the T-Rex and Raptor tag teamed the Indominous Rex for like five minutes.* That was cool, but the rest of the movie was poop.**

* whoops, spoilers

** Perhaps I would have dug this movie more in an IMAX type setting, as it was clearly made for that medium, and not a 12" monitor on the back of an airplance seat

I actually thought this was the best one since the original.

Movies can still be ridiculous, but logical. For example, give one of the kids 1337 H4X0r skills so they could override the "return" command for the gyrosphere, or write in some kind of restriction that prevents the commandos from carrying weapons that could easily kill a dinosaur (like maybe the Costa Rican government prevents the possession of full auto firearms).

It's pretty stupid when a studio will spend thousands of hours on computer effects but can't write a script that can't hold even a scintilla of logic.

These movies are best viewed at face value. If you starting thinking about it, it all falls apart. You're bitching about not having a return command for the gyrosphere in a movie about a live dinosaur theme park.

Bitching is implying too much emotion. It was just a one-off example of how one could easily make an improvement to a movie about a series of malfunctions at a dinosaur park.

Movies can be absurd and still work, but they should still have some kind of internal logic, unless you're shooting for a Better Off Dead kind of flick. I look at it like the bad horror movie syndrome that's developed in the last 20+ years: Any time the movie has someone doing exactly the opposite of what a non-brain dead person would do, it fucks up the movie, even if the movie is about a dead guy with a hockey mask who's killing everyone.

Holy shit. Best JP since the original. I cried when the Brachiosaurus died.

The Indo Raptor trolling the tooth collector was awesome.
