I don’t see the Cowboys paying Dak $30 million screwing us. Do you think that Mahomes is going to turn around and demand $45 million because Dak got that much? I don’t see that happening. [Reply]
I would prefer to keep Jones I just disagree that it is going to happen.
And Dak getting a stupid amount of money absolutely screws us and it has nothing to do with how nice Mahomes is. His agent will demand a percentage higher than what Dak gets. I mean Deshaun Watson will get paid after that and his agents will demand higher than Dak and then Mahomes' agents will demand higher than Watson. That's how this all works unfortunately. [Reply]
I appreciate what Sammy did for us, but why on earth would you pay the type of money needed to keep him when the draft is loaded at WR? Especially when you factor in the injury history. Makes zero sense. [Reply]

This.
I like Sammy a lot. That catch in the Super Bowl is going to be one of the most iconic plays in franchise history. But he's really only showed up for 6 or 7 games his entire career here. Plus he gets hurt a lot.
You can find a third option in the receiving game for a lot cheaper than what he's going to cost and get similar production for it. [Reply]
I could see them wanting to bring back sammy because of experience, while using draft capitol to fill other holes. I think its unlikely but i could see it being a veach homer scenario. [Reply]

You pay him for playoffs not regular season. He shows up when it matters most [Reply]
Heard Chris sims interview Veach today, he said pat and his agent were well aware that money was needed to put a team around him to be competitive.i am sure he won’t be cheap but I think he cuts them some slack. Veach said pat was way more into winning than being the highest paid QB [Reply]
