I actually woke up early this morning to see the main event from Hong Kong. We have an early Knockout of the Year candidate with one of the coolest KO's I've ever seen, dude was out before he hit the ground.
Anyone else looking forward to UFC 171 tomorrow? Holy crap, that card looks stacked. Hendricks vs Lawler, Condit vs Woodley, and Diego Sanchez? That may be one of the best-looking UFC PPV in a while. [Reply]

Hoping Woodley can KO Condit. Hendricks vs Lawler should be KO city as well. [Reply]

Woodley isn't knocking Condit out, sorry. He's a brawler fighting a true martial artist with a solid chin. I see no other way Hendricks/Lawler ends other than a KO, but I think it's pretty likely Lawler is flat on his back at the end although I'm pulling for him. [Reply]

IMO the only way Woodley wins is if he can hold Condit down, which I doubt. Condit is a beast on his feet and obn the ground. He does throw a ton of kicks though which could leave him open for a takedown. [Reply]
In case anyone is wondering, if Hendricks would not have made weight, they probably would have fought anyway, but Hendricks would have lost a lot of money to Lawler, and he would not have been title-eligible. Lawler would have won the belt if he beat Hendricks, or the title would have remained vacant if he lost.
2 other fighters in the prelims failed to make weight initially, but only one of them was unable to make it in the extra 2 hours allotted. Renee Forte lost 20% of his appearance fee to his opponent, and won't be eligible for any bonuses. [Reply]
