I'll try and update this periodically throughout the season.
17. Charles Harris, DE/OLB, Missouri
The Chiefs currently aren't getting any pressure on the quarterback. That's obviously because Justin Houston is out, but Dee Ford, starting in his place, has done nothing. Tamba Hali doesn't have much longer remaining as a pro, so the Chiefs will need to find a suitable replacement for him.
49. Anthony Walker, ILB, Northwestern
The Chiefs could spend a second-day selection on an inside linebacker, given that Derrick Johnson is nearing retirement. [Reply]

White comes out of LSU, which could be called “DBU” these days with all the defensive backs it’s churning out. A supremely gifted athlete who clocked a 4.47 40-yard-dash at the Combine, he’s also a very solid tackler. The Chiefs are likely looking for an inside linebacker or another cornerback. White fits.
Chiefs: Nathan Peterman, QB, Pittsburgh
Chiefs: Anthony Walker, LB, Northwestern
Chiefs (compensatory pick): Corn Elder, CB, Miami

Fuck that hot garbage. Yet another mock where we watch Mahomes drop into the Texan's lap and they don't mock a trade up at all for us. Just so we can take fucking Peterman in the 2nd. [Reply]

I'd rather severely overpay and trade that 2nd to get Mahomes then end up with White and Peterman. [Reply]

You really don't care about these interview reports, eh?
Seriously, the guy sounds like Jay Cutler. And like I said, this is the worst feedback we've gotten since Geno and we all know how that worked out.
I learned a fairly valuable lesson during Genogate - these interviews mean, in many ways, as much as the tape and the drills. At least for quarterbacks.
That's why I've slowly warmed to Webb. Christ alive, man - he KILLS the interviews and film study process. I've read several of them with him now and he can just dissect and disseminate things in real time as well as anyone I've ever seen. The arm's there and the athleticism, while goofy as fuck, seems to be good enough.
Why should I take Kizer over someone like Webb when Webb has the same build, same arm, slighly less athleticism (though maybe not; just stranger looking) and at least outwardly understands/enjoys football a HELL of a lot more than Kizer does. [Reply]
