Nice memories here for those old enough to remember.

Yea, Donnie Moore is a study in tragedy. That game wrecked his life.

For fun, I had to go find the highlights to that game. Totally forgot that Dave Henderson, in the bottom half of the 8th, had a fly ball n his glove, then he hit the fence, dislodging the ball, allowing it to be a 2 run HR for Bobby Grich.

And just before Hondo’s HR, Don Baylor hit a 2 run shot to get them within 1.
That was a crazy, crazy game.

My mom gave me a photo album a few years ago from the 1985 WS parade. It's crazy how close the fans were able to get to the cars and players.

Steve Balboni, George Brett, Dan Quisenberry, Lonnie Smith

Dart, those are some all time photos. All that confetti started a parade car on fire during the parade. What a great day that was.

Also, at the 16:22 mark, Doyle Alexander gave up the run scoring 2b to Buddy Biancalana and Alexander was pissed. He felt he struck out Sundberg on a 3-2 pitch that HP umpire Darryl Cousins called a ball resulting in a walk.

Said to Cousins, "Jesus Christ, "****ing blind idiot".

And Bob Costas said as Biancalana made contact and the ball was headed to the gap:

"Buddy Biancalana hits into right center and Hello Buddy Biancalana"!!!

Great days.

I'm going to have to find that clip because Doyle Alexander was mad AF. he barked all the way to the dugout.

Costas and Tony Kubek were on the call for NBC.

I get a kick out of Balboni. The guy looks just like my dad did in 1985.
