The series, which will air on Wednesdays at 8:00-9:00 p.m., stars Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen, Colin Donnell as Tommy, Katie Cassidy as Laurel Lance, David Ramsey as John Diggle, Willa Holland as Thea Queen, with Susanna Thompson as Moira Queen and Paul Blackthorne as Detective Quentin Lance.
I'm not acting in it..I'm Stephen's stand-in...his caddy/human light bounce so they block and light the scene for the cameras so he can come right to set and start working. I've been doing this a long time...it's a fun job. [Reply]
I really liked it. There were a few things that seemed derivative, but so what - it's a street-level superhero origin story, and it was done really well. Also, I love the way they're interpreting the character, and integrated aspects of the story like Speedy, and hints of those early-70's Green Lantern/Green Arrow social-consciousness story lines. The fight and chase scenes were also really gripping and well-shot. I will keep watching this.
Edit: Oh, another thing: Amell did a good job in conveying that his darker self was his actual self, and the 'playboy' was a front, and not the other way around. Whenever he was pretending to still be the give-me-a-drink party-boy, he delivered his lines just a little flatter, so it seemed Queen, not Amell, was a bad actor. It gave an edge to the character, which I was pleasantly surprised to see. [Reply]

One of the best shows on TV is on CW, and it's definitely not 16-25. That show being Supernatural. [Reply]
