We had competitions to see who could do it the fastest and most accurate. If you could do it all as the previous song started to fade and not have any dead air you were the shit and I was the shit.

:-)
I bet you still own a record player, don't you?

I do. I have 6 Kiss albums and a host of assorted stuff. I still listen to it all from time to time. Digital recordings on a cd can't touch the richness of needle on vinyl. I even still buy new vinyl of my favorite artists when they press them. Pearl Jam does as well as my favorite country artist Jamey Johnson.

I still have one too. I bought an all-in-one Fischer component system back in 1990, it had to be one of the last ones ever manufactured with a turntable. Still have about dozen LPs left too.

Mine is a Fischer too. In fact your post inpsired me. Jamey Johnsons "That Lonesome Song" album is playing right now. Grammy winner in 2009.

That mornin sun made it's way
through the windshield of my chevrolet
whiskey eyes and ashtray breath
on a chert rock gravel road

what the hell did I do last night
thats the story of my life
like trying to remember words
to a song nobody wrote

and it's saaaaaaaaddd and it's loooooonnnng
can't nobodyyyyyy sing along

it's a southbound train
it's a whistle in the wind
ain't no one there to care where I've been

I'm hummin on that lonesome song again...

Sing it JJ!

Unfortunately someone was in love with Shelby, guitar, in this video. Too bad cause the bass player was flat slappin that bitch.

Another cover I found. The original song is very hard to top, but these two do the original credit....

99.9% sure the first video is a repost. Gretchen Wilson absolutley nails Ann Wilson's voice.....

Ok, the intro to this song will make you want to punch Jamie Kennedy square in the face if you ever run into him, if you weren't already at that point. But this is a pretty badass group of rock legends lined up to pay tribute.....

(song starts at around 1:35)
