We all have varying opinions about the impact of this, the numbers, etc. We will all never agree with each other. But we can all keep it civil.

Thanks!

Agreed, and the Covid symptom list is pretty close to every other flu. The weird eye thing I don’t recall being a signature of other respiratory viruses, but really who knows. If not for the novel nature of this virus would we know about all these medical manifestations?

Do you have the other chart that would support those numbers because the one you’re showing doesn’t really support that math unless you’re actually counting the “projected deaths” as confirmed ones as well. Also, why are they using 2018 population numbers? Seems kind of weird

It`s not like hes telling people to spray lighter fluid in their mouths and then take a drag on a cigarette.....but you can try it for us if you wish lol

edited to add: Please record on video if you try it........for scientific purposes :-)
It's telling people to gargle fucking salt water or vinegar and it will cure you of the Rona and save lives. You really don't think any harm would come from people believing that shit?

Some idiot has coronavid and thinks that gargling salt water kills it, so they do it and now they think theyre cured and can go out in public. Good way to get people to spread it.

The data are from NYC, they count the total deaths and the total population from the 2018 Census survey (2020 hasn't finished yet). You just divide one number by the other to get the result I posted about. It is in the last column of the table.

Even if these numbers aren't 100%, NYC is still staggering. It is why I find it so hard to believe when someone suggests the virus has been silently circulating and there is some huge number of people with immunity.

I understand NYC has conditions that made the virus spread widely but why would their death rate be so different?

Where are all the deaths from these locations that supposedly has some large X percent with antibodies?

I guess NYC could have had a deadlier strain of the virus but scientific opinions on that sound dubious it could be enough different to explain things.

Well, instead of spending $250 at a steakhouse for Mother's Day dinner. We picked up an amazing Carnitas Burrito ($10) and split it, and $11 taco plate for our daughter. Called it in, walked in, picked it up, walked out. Time to watch the Last Dance on ESPN.

:-)

News has been fairly scarce the past few days. The death toll today is quite low, but it is Sunday - and Sunday numbers have been consistently low. Though I'll say today's number is low even by Sunday standards.

That's about all I've got.

It’s officially been half a year since a KC sports team lost a game. The longest streak in the country and in our history. Also, officially just 4 months until the season starts

I've completely given up on that. It's curve fitting and not really forecasting. They change it so much and so often that you know whatever it says today will be changed again in a few days.

The only thing that really changed with this update was their level of certainty seems to have gone down. Especially at the state level.
