In order to prevent us wasting precious years of Patrick Mahomes' career, Veach needs to work some magic this offseason. What's your advice for him? [Reply]

I don’t follow the Eagles so I assume Mailata did well replacing Dillard, but the Chiefs giving up a high pick (2nd rd?) for Dillard just makes too much sense. It seems Philly really feels his replacement is a good option for them and they need picks due to their cap problem.
Veach loves getting former first rd picks that he graded high in the past

Nah. #63 overall for a young, starting left tackle is a steal.
It would be nice if Veach could swap 4ths or 5ths in the deal because that would help out the Chiefs significantly but if not, getting an NFL ready left tackle at that price would still be pretty great. [Reply]

From yesterday's NFL Now on @nflnetwork: The #49ers are making a strong push to keep LT Trent Williams from getting to the market. Williams made it clear he's interested in staying, though he wants fair value. pic.twitter.com/YAJxI90Ojz
The only problem I have with signing Trent Williams is that not only are you paying him at the top of the market, the Chiefs will most likely be in this same position in 3 years.
It would be nice to have a little more stability than what Williams would bring but I don't think you'd find too many complaints about his salary and play once the season begins. [Reply]

Kinda where I’m at
Long term they are likely gonna have to spend a first rounder on a LT at some point but if you could get Dillard for a 2, that’s a steal [Reply]

Where was there a rumor about the Chiefs and Dillard? I must’ve missed that. [Reply]

Sure, except he misses all of 2020 with an Achilles and exited with injuries in 2019 as well. [Reply]

There aren’t any rumors. Just a couple of beat reporters from the Eagles saying that the Eagles should contact the Chiefs about Dillard since they cut Fisher.
I’m not even sure it would cost a 2nd to get him. Dude can only play LT. [Reply]
