Nate reporting that he still thinks it will be Curtis Samuel (Yuck). Also said Sneed trade likely to happen tomorrow.
Mike Williams is less than 12 hours away from being cut from the Chargers. They have to clear 25-30M and he’s the obvious candidate by a mile. Nobody is going to white knight them for a trade now to release them from those 4 horrendous contracts. He’d be perfect for us and I think is clearly the best that will be available. Also won’t count against the compo formula. I’m hoping that’s what Veach is waiting for [Reply]

He also said we were getting a WR or left tackle yesterday. Dude doesn’t know how the cap works and assumes any interest is about to be a signing [Reply]
If you trade Sneed, the cap space jumps to around $35M.
You need to set about $9-10M of that aside for the draft class and space entering the regular season.
So post-Sneed trade and no other restructures, you’ve got about $25M to build out the depth of this roster through these waves of FA. Just enough to do what needs done I’d say and wait to adjust Jawaan Taylor’s deal until you really need the money, maybe during the season. [Reply]

Let's you sign a quality WR, a guy like Bakhtiari, and a few smaller moves to fill in depth. We could then go into the draft with no obvious holes in the starting 22 and have much more flexibility to think longterm with the roster with those first few picks. [Reply]

I think tomorrow is possibly the tipping point. Keep sneed or trade and sign a guy. [Reply]
#Chiefs franchise player and lockdown corner L'Jarius Sneed is drawing interest from multiple #NFL teams, including #Titans in active trade scenarios, per league sources. No firm offer yet, but dialogue remajns active, in fluid situation @KPRC2
Could do worse than Mike Williams and a 1st/2nd round receiver. I know Mike Williams isnt the typical receiver in Andy Reids offense but Mahomes has never had that type of weapon before. [Reply]
