Seems like the better alliance would be with Jon, but the north would be a tougher place for the Dothraki to survive the wilderness.
Dorne, is where they are going to land in my opinion. This will come when the Tyrells and the Lanisters are at each others throats. (Maybe open conflict) Jon will have taken the north/riverlands.
The nice thing about this is Tyrion & Jon have a relationship (So does Sansa)
Maybe the Tyrells and Lannisters decide to join forces to attack Danny. (Tyrells, Lannisters could probably muster a force close to 100k+) Plus other houses joining to "Defend the realm from invaders"
Thus making Jon and the Army of the north (Vale included) very much needed to help Danny take Kings Landing.
The mountains in Dorne make a choke point on the way to Kingslanding,
Army Possible Strengths Best Guess:
Crown: 100k+ (Also tons of experience in combat considering the wars)
Northern: 45k+ ( Great leadership and a just cause/ Mostly Vale/Riverlands )
Danny: 75k+ ( Not sure on how many Dothraki will make it across the sea or will die from Westorsi Illnesses, Remaining) *side note: Unknown Dorne Strength
The Crown has to have such a Host that Jon & Danny are needed to defeat them. (IN MY OPINION) [Reply]
There isn't a lot of war experience with the crown. That was Tywin.
In the show Kevan was kind of dumb. Tywin was the one that came up with the good plans. Well, Tywin and Tyrion. Jamie may have some skill there but it has always been implied that he was a douche that could swing a mean sword. [Reply]

Riverrun will not go along the same path as the books. It looks like the TV series is gathering many of the major players there real soon. Why? No details in the books because its not happening like that in the books.
Maybe while you got them together, the white walkers come up and they realize they have to work together to defeat them? [Reply]

I think they will resolve the Danny taking the thrown part first... Like everyone is exhausted from the war..... Then the white walkers attack when everyone is still licking their wounds so to speak...
Wow. That's the mystery I had hoped the show would be able to capture about Euron. He's a fucked up individual who's seen some shit.
I wonder what properties the Valyrians steel armor carries. Probably super light and strong- maybe it can't be penetrated by modern weaponry? Never rusts.

Targaryens typically married into Dorne. Her husband/the Viper was good with Tyrion and died in his trial by combat. I'm guessing the Sand Snakes are good with him, and share enemies on the Lannisters. [Reply]
There is now an actual transcript of the chapter itself rather than just a summary. The transcript is far better than the summary. Sorry, don't have a link, but it's worth it if you can find it instead of the summary. [Reply]

I won't spoiler because it's just a general comment but from what I've heard from those that read the books Valyrian steel from a practical perspective is just lighter and stronger. Obviously it has some magic if it brings down white walkers but it appears to me to be about like Damascus steel IRL plus some magic stuff. [Reply]

it would provide protection against the WWs ice swords. Iron armor probably just shatters like the swords do. Somebody could get it and rework it into more VS weapons. [Reply]
