So I'm eligible to upgrade my cell phone again August 1st. I currently have a Samsung Galaxy S2 through Sprint and was ready to get the S4. Now I see that LG is set to release their Optimus G2 sometime in August.

I've also seen lots of rumors about the X+1, but no firm release date, so I'm not sure if it'd be worth waiting or not.
I've used the Moto X and really like it. It doesn't feel like a giant phone, either. [Reply]
I just upgraded from my flip phone last year. I like my blackberry and refuse to get a smart phone.
I admit feeling a twinge of need when I needed google maps walking around downtown KC yesterday, but a friendly stranger steered me in the right direction.
One of these days I MIGHT get a smart phone, but I just don't see a need for it right now. I'm on the computer enough as it is. I don't need one when I'm away from home. [Reply]

Why don't you want a 'smartphone'?
I can't use apps on it like an iPhone, so it's not exactly the same. This is my phone.
It's not that I don't want one, but they're expensive, and I really can't justify the cost for what I would use it for. I pretty much only use my phone for calls and texts. [Reply]

I don't believe in signing contracts for phone service. I use pay-as-you-go service, which is cheap and convenient for me since I hate talking on the phone.
I probably spend about $100 a year for phone service. [Reply]

BlackBerry has App World similar to iPhone and Android. [Reply]
