Guess I'm just an optimist in thinking there is a route where the NFL, XFL and NCAA all benefit in a world where Maurice Clarett types bypass college to get paid in the XFL, the NFL (theoretically) gets more polished professional players who don't have to worry about college-related distractions and the NCAA eventually doesn't need the ridiculous "illegal" recruiting gambits in order to stay relevant. I haven't been paying much attention. I was kinda bummed the AAF didn't take off because I enjoyed watching the Orlando Apollos (their offence was really fun to watch, much like the Chiefs). I think that kind of killed my interest in the XFL. I hope it succeeds though. [Reply]

Huge Apollos fan because of Gilbert and the offense.x
I think the XFL should hire Art Schlichter after he is released from prison this August so he can be the XFL's gambling advice man "expert" for next season. [Reply]

Just like the college football format. Top two teams in each conference go into the playoffs so a total of 4 and they play each other and winner of each game moves onto the championship [Reply]
Watched an entire game. It really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Not sure the long term appeal with these scrubs tough. Every team should have been in cities without an Nfl team though. [Reply]

Yeah so not interested in nfl citites having minor league teams.
Put these teams in non nfl cities and it would so be interesting. [Reply]
I think the XFL thought that the AAF would of not collapsed in less than a season so didn't chose markets, outside St. Louis, without NFL teams. Now, that the AAF collapsed I could see them looking at Orlando, Portland, Raleigh-Durham, San Diego, Montgomery\Birmingham, and Sacramento as expansion areas if they chose too.
San Antonio would of been great too if there weren't teams in Dallas and Houston. [Reply]
