Rehab guy on Twitter sounds like he was going through significant ACL protocol. Sucks. Watts is a step down but I think spags will get him ready. [Reply]
Chiefs safety Juan Thornhill underwent successful surgery to repair a torn ACL in his knee, tweets NFL Network’s James Palmer. The rookie second-rounder started all 16 games for Kansas City, compiling 58 tackles, five passes defended, and three interceptions. He suffered the injury during his team’s Week 17 game against the Chargers, sidelining him for the entire postseason.

We don’t know that. Everybody’s body is different, work ethics vary and every injury is different. Adrian Peterson tore his about the same time of the year and was ready for camp the next year. Others take over a full calendar year to rehab. Well just have to see. [Reply]
I just hope that everyone here will be aware that it will probably take him a year to year and half (likely 2021 season) for him to be back in form, since he won't have much of a training year (lost due to rehab). [Reply]

For an ACL? They've got ACL recovery really figured out these days. Recovery time is all about how hard you work in rehab. No reason he won't be 98% by Week 14 next year. [Reply]
1) We missed Thornhill in the playoffs. Still got the job done thanks to great depth and coaching.
2) This MFer will be coming back next season with his hair on fire. I don’t expect him to be perfect at first but by the time November rolls around, we’re back to having the best safeties in football (assuming no bad injuries). [Reply]
Expectation is for #Cheifs S Juan Thornhill to be ready for the start of the season. When he gets going during training camp is still TBD. I’m told his ACL injury actually turned out to be in better shape than expected when the surgery actually happened. Good news.
He's going to be on fire more than any other player because he'll be hungry for an untainted super bowl ring that doesn't feel like a participation trophy [Reply]
