Yeah Watson gets way too much hype on this site. [Reply]

Watson vs. all NFL QBs 2020: 8th in completions
3rd in completion%-70.2% (1st-Rodgers 70.7%)
1st in yards (4,823)
1st in yds/att (8.9)
2nd in yds/gm (301)
25 pts above NFL avg QBR
2nd in Passer rtg (112.4)
All without D. Hopkins.
Btw, Watson didn't play one snap of defense in last year's AFCDG. He also didn't call any defensive plays. Or offensive plays. Like kicking a FG from KC's 11-yd line. [Reply]

And to add some context to that, he did it while playing for what is now known as the most dysfunctional organization in the NFL while being coached by ROMEO FUCKING CRENNEL.

I was pushing for Mahomes in early January 2017 in the Draft Forum (my posts are easily searchable) but some people said that if he had to sit a year, he was only worth a 3rd rounder while others who shall remain nameless said to wait until 2018 because "The 2018 QB class is SO MUCH BETTER!".
The number of people on CP that devalued quarterbacks until Mahomes arrived is astonishing. [Reply]

ROME CRENNEL, people. ROMEO CRENNEL. GMAFB.
You might as well just say he had no HC.
If the Chiefs didn't have Mahomes I'd be all over this trade.
While Watson isn't Mahomes, I think he'd be very, very successful under Andy Reid's tutelage.

And with all the Ex-Patriot Hacks in the organization, I'm sure they'd listen and welcome Jimmy G with extra open arms if a trade was to go down. [Reply]
Since Watson is demanding to be traded, but has a no-trade clause which limits the teams and potential trade value the Texans get in return, wouldn’t it be beneficial for the Texans to publicly say they will grant Watson his trade request as long as he waives his no trade clause first? [Reply]

With their defensive personnel, Shanahan's QB friendly scheme and Deshaun Watson at QB, they'd be atop the NFC for at least the next 4 seasons.
Rodgers can't win the big games, Russ can't cook for an entire season and there's no doubt in my mind that Watson would be the best QB in the NFC for the foreseeable future.
They're receiving three additional 3rd round picks for Saleh and Mayhew, so they have the ammo to make it happen and that's without adding in compensation for Garoppolo.
John Lynch has probably already burned through a few phones trying to make that trade. [Reply]

1-2 in playoffs and a career 50% win rate with a 3-1 TD/INT says he is not worth his contract. [Reply]

Yep. S-C-A-R-Y for the NFC. Would be a great situation for the 49'ers and Watson. [Reply]

When you consider the coaching staff (or lack thereof), their personnel (who in the fuck trades D Hop for an old, broken down running back?) and their defense, he's worth more than his current contract because the team is an epic disaster from top to bottom. [Reply]
