Rules:
1. No spoiled picks in this thread, all weekend. This means that as tweets are leaking picks a few minutes before the selection is announced live, you don't post it in this thread (ex: embedded tweets), reference it in this thread (ex: Joe Slapdick says it's McCaffrey to Tampa) or hint at it (ex: "it's a RB!").
Don't be a dick.
Otherwise, have fun, talk shit, freak out and lose your goddamned minds. It's Draft Weekend. The hot takes in these threads are so funny.
I'll also be starting threads for each of our picks as they are made, with videos and notable stats/takes in the OP. Pure knee jerk gold to reference in the future. [Reply]

He was a Watson honk. So of course he's gonna sit here and try to say "no, I wasn't wrong...." when in fact the REASON he was wrong is precisely the argument he's trying to disregard.
It's always been a bullshit argument and yall said he would throw alot of INTs because of his weak arm 17 in 23 games. Hes also thrown for 45 touchdowns .
He also threw for 8.3 yards per pass which is more than big arm Matt Stafford.
If a fossil Tom Brady, Nick Foles, etc can win a super bowl so can Watson. Hes a franchise QB. [Reply]

Watch - the interceptions are coming. He has thrown among the highest rates of interceptable balls in the league over his time as a starter, but in '17 he got incredibly lucky on dropped picks. Last year was fairly impressive in that he only threw 9 but y'know why he did that?
Because he never threw the damn ball. 62 interceptions. He wasn't throwing picks because he was just taking sacks instead. So...good for him I guess? I guess I never considered the possibility that rather than toss wobble-launchers out there when under pressure, he would just turtle. Good adjustment, DeShaun.
Far shittier quarterbacks than Watson have won SBs - that doesn't make Watson a guy worth building around. Watson will begin to be a detriment to his team the moment he gets paid. He will actively interfere with their ability to win championships because his splash plays will get him paid far more than his overall talent warrants.
He's perpetual mediocrity waiting to happen. He's 15 more years of Alex Smith. You were absolutely wrong and the fact that you don't understand that just further demonstrates what caused you to be so wrong in the first place.
Just put "I wanted Watson over Mahomes but the main reason many of you didn't was a bullshit argument so I was actually RIGHT" in your signature block so we can all bask in the glory of your idiocy every time you post. [Reply]

Interceptable balls lol. You're making such a broad argument here. Interceptable balls, as he gets older he'll decline. No shit every football player does. [Reply]
I'm excited to watch this, because I missed the greatest draft pick ever. I can't remember why. I think I just got hung up at work or something. [Reply]
Watching this—how good do you think Mahomes would be right now if he had been picked by Chicago, Jacksonville, or the Jets?
Because even in hindsight, we know that those landing spots wouldn’t have been nearly as soft on his feet as Kansas City was. But I do think he still would have been a stud and worth the selection for those teams. [Reply]
