About to hit the 5000 post mark on the old thread, the first season 7 trailer today seems like the right time to start the final Game of Thones thread.
I'm going back to the original rules pre-2015. I don't think we need supervision or bannings. Just don't be a dick. Post anything you find online that hasn't aired yet inside of spoiler tags. That's pretty much it. I think we can all handle that...

Spoiler!
is this a known thing? It was my immediate thought when i saw them. Poetic justice for how Ned died, as he thought he had the city watch’s loyalty but didnt, and now Cercei makes the same mistake, with a simple, anti-climactic death at the hands of the the Iron Bank and the Golden Company.
so at the end, the iron bank guy says “as soon as the told arrives.” Do we know if they got it or not? Obviously, the dothraki/drogon attack on the lannister wagon train may have derailed (ha) it, but i have no memory either way on the gold shipment.
Anyone know or remember?
Not sure if i should even bother to spoiler my cockamamie, half-baked theory which may be obviously impossible due to some fact I’ve forgotten. [Reply]

the golden company is really working for the Iron bank is a well known and popular Reddit theory. In no way has this been mentioned or alluded to on the show.
Now, I still think the Iron bank or the faceless men will be a factor before this season finishes but in this way, meh... [Reply]

Cersei paid off the entirety of the crown's debt to the Iron Bank. The gold made it safely into King's Landing prior to Daenerys' attack. [Reply]

Yep. The Crown squared up with the iron bank and Cersei hired the Gold Company on a new loan from the IB.
Go rewatch the conversation between Cersei and the IB agent while they were waiting for the Tyrell gold to show up. [Reply]
