I’ll take the over on Mecole’s total yardage compared with D-Rob.

He’ll get there though. He’s an incredibly fluent athlete. The people who compare him to Mizzou Jeremy Maclin are on the money. I feel like I’m watching a Mizzou practice from 2008 when he takes off in the open field.
Tell us about how the defensive players looked today please. [Reply]
Having Tyreek continue to return punts really isn’t that big of a deal. Most punters and special teams coaches are just going to kick away from him anyway. It’s not like he gets a chance at that many returns. And by having him out there, he gets the offense better field position without even having to touch the ball.
I don’t see any reason to pull PR duty from him. Antonio Brown did it for years. Didn’t seem to hurt his career. [Reply]

Actually pretty well. They defended the 1st team offense pretty well during 11 on 11s. Pat actually had a fairly tough time getting into a rhythm.
All the hype about Thornhill is true. He will be a stud.
The biggest thing I notice though is the energy level appears to be MUCH higher this year. Spagnuolo is active, vocal and coaches with a purpose. The days of sleepy Grandpa Bob are long in the past.
Obviously it’s hard to gauge much from practice but I think they should be substantially improved this season. [Reply]
