Keep in mind that you're a novice lifter for a longer period of time than you think you are. Novice lifting can last anywhere from a few months to a year or two, depending on how hard you hit the weights and where you started.
Once you've reached the point where you don't make regular progress on the SS program, you are ready to move on to the intermediate stage, which can last you for a good number of years. Find it HERE:
If you're a very advanced lifter (many, many years of CONSISTENT weight training), then there are lot of programs out there, and which one you pick is simply a matter of preference. If you're really that advanced, you should know what works for you and what doesn't by this point. [Reply]
8 miles on the elliptical in 55:17, a sub 7 minute mile for 8 miles! I was hauling ass and sweating like a fat black whore in a Baptist church! Finished with 9.07 miles in 64 minutes.

Sketchers are for old ladies or fat men. Nothing good about that shoe brand.
I don't know enough about New Balance. Have improved in the past few years a lot from reports, including more athletic type shoes, even for baseball players.
I'm a Nike guy all the way.
What are you doing there on the job? You don't burn as many calories as you think just walking around most of the day. Would probably only need a few extra hundred calories if that's the case. Or just stay the same and lean up more, slowly over time. [Reply]

On my feet all day scanning and carrying packages from place to place. Nearly constant movement, though it's low intensity.
I honestly don't care about any old man stigma associated with a brand, as I'm looking for the most comfortable walking shoe with the most support possible. [Reply]
