Okay, here is a place for the Golfers to talk about tournaments, clubs, swing help or thoughts.

Today is the Players Championship, which I think ought to be the 5th Major. Largest pot in the PGA. The daunting 17th, which seems to bring excitement every year. At least we will get to see Sergio blow up yet again.

I am ready to see some water balls!

That's one of the worst shots I've ever seen from any pro.

And Simpson is going to struggle to make par on 18.

Where does Olympic rate in terms of toughest US Open courses of all time?

Furyk fell apart down the stretch - too bad. Would love to see McDowell birdie 18 here...

Furyk is fucked. Is the playoff in the US a 18 hole?

Feel bad for Furyk... led for most of the last three days and it barely slipped away.

I think he and McDowell hurt themselves playing as slowly as they did ll day, expecially on the back 9.

How many times did they set up to take a shot, or a putt, only to back away and look at it again?

Seemed like every shot.

That was one of the biggest US Open choke jobs I've ever seen. What a duck hook on 16, then he played 17 and 18 horribly. Sad for Furyk as this might be one of his last real opportunities to get a second major.

McDowell didn't choke at the end, but he made too many mistakes before the end to win.

Simpson was leaking oil down the stretch, too, but he made the big chip and putt when he had to. Congrats to him.

Furyk has that same pre-shot routine on every shot. He lines up. Backs away. Swings again. Lines up. Waggles. Lines up. Swings.

Same on the putts. He's done that for 20 years.

It reminded me a bit of the 2006 Open when Mickelson, Furyk, and Montgomerie choked down the stretch to give Ogilvy the win by a shot. The winning score was also over par in that one.

And Padraig Harrington. He was in the rough on 17 and swung at the ball so hard he lifted his front foot off the ground like a he was in the batters box. duffed the shot and killed his chance.

True, I remember that. He won three of them after that, so at least he learned from the experience and it didn't hurt his legacy.
