@Feinsand: The Royals could be getting closer to trading Jake Diekman, according to a source. The Dodgers and Braves are believed to be two clubs showing serious interest in the lefty reliever. [Reply]

I'd agree with that. Why the heck should we have to eat Duffy's contract? It's not like it's some disastrous deal we're trying to dump. No way we should do that. Kennedy is a different story. [Reply]

Have you thought about how much you would need to spend and what type of return Kenmedy would bring? From a Royals perspective I highly doubt that works. [Reply]
Duffy is a decent major league starter with a fair contract. There is no way, shape or form we should be eating any part of his contract. You only do that when you're trying to dump a bad contract like Kennedy. This is actually the other teams being cheap and trying to bend us over and get a decent player without paying for him. Dayton should be telling anyone who asks that to pound sand. [Reply]
That was actually a really smart move by Starling. Duda was the one who messed up. Although the first base coach should have helped him there too.
There were 2 outs, and there is a 0% chance Lucas Duda is going to run his way out of a rundown. Might as well try and race home and see if you can score before Duda gets tagged for the 3rd out. It would have scored a run. [Reply]
