How long have you been a member of CP? :-)

There’s plenty of room to be critical while also being satisfied that we got the W.

Shhhh the D can do no wrong. They will burn you at the stake.

We wandered in the wilderness for 49 years. I feel like I deserve Mahomes. Almost.

Your scouts and front office deserve a lot of credit for giving him a chance. At least 10 other teams in this league (including Buffalo) did not think he was worth it.

I honestly don't care about style points or the Aunt Bea perspective of "Oh, what will they think/say? Get the win, move on. That's literally the objective and it's really difficult to do in the NFL. Period.
Exactly.

I'm mainly a little bummed out that he didn't throw for 500 yards.
Agree with all of this. Hardman will say he should have caught it. Mahomes will say that it has to be a better throw. And they'll both be right.

That completion makes things that much easier going forward, but it wasn't ever going to matter. Mahomes wasn't going to lose that game. You knew it, I knew it, and everyone but feeble-minded Chief Fan knew it. Take the W and on to the next one.

Somebody can't make the effort to actually read what is said.

Depends on what you get out of sports entertainment, the relaxation of 'knowing' everything is fine, or the engagement of being on constant lookout for ways to improve.
That appears to be an interesting false dichotomy. Everything was certainly fine (in terms of getting the W), but there were, clearly, many ways in which we could improve. Why not both?

Ultimately, none of it really matters from us until it gets to the level of either flying banners over the stadium or showing up at a SB parade, but it's part of our individual identity narratives.
You're forgetting a pretty sizable 3rd contingent. Just saying.

I just wish Andy would run the normal offense until about the last 5 minutes or so of the fourth quarter.

That game had no business being as close as it was. Just run the offense, let Mahomes pad the stats. Who cares if we embarrass the other team? It's professional football, no one's feelings are getting hurt.

Just keep attacking.

There isn't any anger over legit criticism. That's just a false narrative.

Read the posts.

NOBODY takes umbrage with "Man, Andy Reid needs to stop calling those plays." A comment like that sparks a conversation where people have a constructive back-and-forth about what he's doing right or what he could do better.

The "anger" ONLY comes in when people say things like Andy Reid being terrible, which actually WAS said today. In fact, go read the Andy Reid appreciation thread and you'll see people talking about Andy like he's a mouth-breathing moron who's only being bailed out by Patrick Mahomes.

I really don't understand how you can't see that the "anger" is a reaction to ridiculous hyperbole, like this team being "embarrassing" when they're 10-1.

Good post.

I think ya know Clark has got to play better. He's supposed to be one of leaders of the D and he isn't producing like he should w that contract. I am sure he would say the same thing.

Dont understand why some people on here get so upset about that fact.

For one of those drives, not sure it would have mattered. Refs kept calling a Hold on KC for every snap of the ball.
