After careful consideration this afternoon, I’ve decided Zay Jones is the worst WR in the history of the NFL.

Assuming they offered a 1 year deal with incentives. Maybe He wanted multiple years and guaranteed money? No way Veach gives him that deal.

Numbers are coming out now. 1 year $4.25 million

So why is he not a Chief at that number for 1 year only?

That’s $4.25 million only if he hits his incentives, I’m guessing it will end up costing the Cardinals less than that. You figure that with the Chiefs almost guaranteed to get a lot of postseason $$$, it’s puzzling that Zay Jones wouldn’t have taken a lower offer by the Chiefs, unless it was just too low as IowaHawkeyeChief mentioned in his post. Jones’s injuries last year probably were the major factor in not offering him more $$$, that’s just my guess.

Zay Jones has chosen to take some money and lose. So did Boyd and OBJ. Winning ro them is second.

It most always turns out this way with any free agent in today's NFL.

More likely to hit incentives over a full season with the Cardinals than as the #3 WR here to start the season (4th option overall) and then #4WR when Rice is back (5th option)

Imagine choosing Kyler Murray over Patrick Mahomes for a one year deal. Lol

Just looking at their depth chart, he's bound to get more touches in ARI than in KC, which would directly impact his potential earnings. Just guessing that might've had something to do with it. Also, in KC he'd have to learn a much larger/more complex playbook, and he'd be required to run-block a lot. And iirc he isn't a consistent run-blocker.

We gave 13/year to Scantling ffs.

This seems like a no brainer.

Not just but chose a team where he's like 3rd option. Marvin will get force fed the ball.
