Early impressions on Starling:
He takes professional ABs. Still see the trouble with spin he has had in the past, but it’s not as bad.
Defense looks pretty good. His arm is a weapon. He doesn’t have that smooth glide to his game like Cain did, but I see why they liked his D so much.

Homer Bailey had his second start for the A's tonight. Lasted 2 innings and gave up a career high 9 ER.
Of all of Dayton's trades, people will look back and wonder how he pulled that one off.

Phillips and O'Hearn have been raking in Omaha.Why are they still there? Put Phillips in RF for the rest of the season and that OF looks like the best defensive outfield in baseball. Send Duda packing and leave O'Hearn at first and get on with your life.
