Or they filmed everyone getting whacked to create false flags for spoilers?
Or they used that footage when Rick was on the roof of the RV, getting Negan's axe, and Rick was having visions of everyone he cares for getting beaten to death? [Reply]

I read somewhere today that they filmed just about everyone getting killed....and that they possibly didn't know who/which footage they would actually air....but that if footage were leaked then there'd be a good chance that the leaked footage wasn't what they decided to air. [Reply]
Been seeing a LOT of online hubbub about that episode being "too violent"
Over the top outrage like "why it was nothing more than torture porn, gasp!"... uh yeah you dildos, its a show about the apocalypse where the world has went off the rails and very bad people are given free rein
Somewhere along the way, some people got the idea in their heads that this was some kind of family fare, suitable for kids or something
If you want something to gather the the fam around the tv with, go to Netflix and find some old Malcolm in the Middle reruns [Reply]

Yeah, heard / saw some of this too. So the endless number of people getting shot, zombie decapitations, the Gov nearly raping Maggie, and cannibals is OK. But show Negan going all Batman on a couple of folks for less than a minute total and it's "OH GOD!!!! SOMEONE THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!!"
Rings hollow to me, there were warnings, everyone knew what was coming, get over it. [Reply]

This is what I heard as well, that they weren't sure who they were going to kill, but that is bullshit because the guy that plays Abe said that both he and Glenn knew they were getting offed like a year ago. [Reply]
I've read the books and have a high tolerance for violence, but this episode was too much for me. Not in a sad way or anything. Just overly sadistic and felt like a masochist watching it. [Reply]

Yep. I'm violence numb, can take whatever they dish out.
But this one felt gratuitous. JD Morgan's performance was so powerful it should have been left as the hammer with the head crushing an understated accompaniment. [Reply]

JDM had a good point, was the last episode worse because it was more violent, or because it was the same amount of violent against someone[s] we had had sympathies for.
Certainly, we've seen some wicked shit done to walkers.
And we've seen some fairly wicked shit against randos. [Reply]

No fan of this show should be bitching about the violence. Those bitching probably aren't even regular viewers. Or not viewers at all, just jumping on the bandwagon of needing to bitch about something.
Screw them anyway. I loved it and got it. It's a tough ****ing world now. Zombies are merely a small annoyance now.
