I'm not sure it's true that Jones has had a better career. We're comparing two different positions here and CB is harder to play especially with all the rules favoring the WRs. Also if you're facing a QB that gets rid of the ball in 2.5 seconds or less than it makes pass rushers less effective and elite CBs more valuable. [Reply]

This is true. If Brady is the QB I’d want Ramsey over Jones [Reply]
I don’t buy this stuff that an elite corner is more important than having an excellent DLmen.
You have treat both as if they’re equal and on the same plane. They both go hand-in-hand. I understand the importance of coverage, especially against a top QB like Brady.
Yeah Brady will beat the DLmen 9x’s out of 10 because he gets the ball out faster than the DLmen could get to him. Having an elite corner just makes it more difficult for him by taking away an option in the passing game. And that elite CB could buy the DLmen an extra second of time to get to the QB, hence the coverage sack right? Well, even if the CB does his job, but the DLmen sucks at beating his guy, then the CB won’t have as much of an impact as people think.
They’re equally important. It doesn’t make sense to me to prioritize. People don’t forget footballs a team game eh. [Reply]
