How are the Warriors a "superteam"? Is it because they are really good? Is it because they drafted their core (without a 1.1) and replaced a max-level player (that they had drafted and lost) with a max-level type player? [Reply]

You'd have to ask the article writer and Jerry West if you want an explanation on the article.
If your aim is to be one of the 5 people in America to argue GS isn't a super team then you can do that without help. [Reply]
Hes perfectly rated, but I think without him the Warriors look much different, they would have to play traditional stiffs like Zaza and Javale more and then other teams could expose that for long peroids of play
They would have to get another player instead of Green and I cant think of someone that could be a Green replacement for them. Maybe they just keep Bogut if Green doesnt exist and still win both.
Complete hypothetical but Green is that important.
The matchup I wanted to see was a healthy Bogut on the Cavs vs the Warriors. Bogut, while now useless on offense he can board and block shots, Bogut at the 5 for Cleveland could make them go small and never have to play Love or Thompson. Would have been way more interesting if the Cavs had that rim protector. [Reply]
Reminds me of the Missouri team that played English at the 5 a few years ago. Sure it could be a liability defensively but if he's athletic enough to be passable or even good, it means he's getting guarded by a stiff [Reply]

I was using the definition posited in this thread.
Were the Bulls a "super team" with Jordan, Pippen, and Grant? [Reply]

elite or not elite hes going to win 5 rings because he compliments the 3 good players, and your favorite team and whatever crappy stiff big you cheer for cant stop Draymond. [Reply]

Pretty much
I still think it's gonna take a big to beat golden state. If someone could pull Anthony Davis away that's the idea I have. [Reply]

Don't have a favorite team or player really, but it's nice that Draymond won the lottery and got a first row seat to a team that doesn't need him at all.
I don't like average at best players who talk shit. KG? Yeah he backs it up and can talk. So could MJ, etc.
Draymond is like Sammie Parker on the great Chiefs offensive 2000's teams. Talks like a mother****er but isn't talented and looks good bc of everyone else. [Reply]
