Keep in mind that you're a novice lifter for a longer period of time than you think you are. Novice lifting can last anywhere from a few months to a year or two, depending on how hard you hit the weights and where you started.
Once you've reached the point where you don't make regular progress on the SS program, you are ready to move on to the intermediate stage, which can last you for a good number of years. Find it HERE:
If you're a very advanced lifter (many, many years of CONSISTENT weight training), then there are lot of programs out there, and which one you pick is simply a matter of preference. If you're really that advanced, you should know what works for you and what doesn't by this point. [Reply]

Anyone know what the cause of this is, or how to avoid it? I sometimes think I'm pushing myself a little too hard.
Not sure if this matters but I'm around 5'7, 165 pounds.

I think I saw a few drops of sweat on my stepmill the other day though..30 minutes level 3 trimming off some fat for the MO in 6 weeks. Wasnt pleasant. As about as much fun as watching Alex Smith play QB. [Reply]

My main goal would be to build some muscle, and lose some fat. Essentially replace the fat I'm carrying with muscle.
Is there a good program to look into for this? Can I just go to the gym and lift what I feel like?
What's everyone's take on resistance bands? Waste of money/time? Been doing hill and stair runs for cardio figured I could include some resistance training into it. Posted via Mobile Device [Reply]

I do shit like this on stairs my legs aren't spread as far apart. Will adding a band do anything other than make this routine burn?
Pretty sure that a lot of athletes work on "explosiveness" by adding resistance bands to plyometric activities. Whether it actually does anything or not, I'm not sure... but it seems to make good broscience.
Do you need more explosiveness for the elite athletic endeavors you're no doubt undertaking? :-) [Reply]
