It's a good long term move for them as far as assets, but Russell doesn't guard and I question how he fits offensively into a team where Curry needs the ball nonstop to maximize his value. Very odd move.

He can, but he shouldn't. Curry should have the ball in his hands at all times for that team now. That's the way it was before Durant got there and the way it should be now.

Long term definitely, but Iguodala is a huge part of everything the Warriors have done and continue to do. He was also still a very effective player until he got hurt in the playoffs. But maybe that's the gambit here, they are throwing away this coming year.

And as good as Russell might turn out to be offensively (he still wasn't great this year, but at least he made huge improvements), Russell and Curry would be one of the worst back courts defensively in the league and Russell needs the ball in his hands to have offensive value. It's a pretty odd fit.
