Hitch ain’t going anywhere. Sorenson please be gone [Reply]

You still have the mega contract you didn't spend on Ramsey to buy a free agent. Again, I am not opposed to the move. But people always forget that the trade isn't just a draft pick for Ramsey... It's a draft pick plus whatever free agent you could buy for that same price. [Reply]

Absolutely.
CBs are so much more vital in today's NFL, and that trend will only pick up. It's the most difficult position to hit on. Jones is dominant, but good DL are much easier to come by.
Trade for Ramsey, then get a haul for Jones after franchise tagging him. Recover some of the draft capital you gave up for Ramsey, and use it to add a cheaper DL option.
I love Chris Jones, but that's not a bad business decision at all. [Reply]

Yeah but do you believe we’ll be able to get any FA near Ramsey’s talent level? I’m not sure who’s in the 2020 FA class but I’d imagine it’s hard to match getting that level of possible talent, the best CB is gonna be Chris Harris right? who’s getting up there with age and will want a big contract. I think it would actually be easier to find a DT that is a god pass rusher in FA than a top CB, just based on how it typically goes.
Then you also can consider this trade would help us to win this year in 2019, rather than the picks from 2020 onward, which I believe putting all resources toward going after would be worth it. [Reply]
