For example, while Klay is better than Kemba and D'Angelo Russell, two years of those guys in LeBron's mid-30's is/was worth more than one year of Klay.
I was under the impression Kawhi waant going there but yes obviously Kawhi would be the better option. Obviously Kemba is off the market, I think Russell is overrated as is Butler. You would have Bron off the books in a few years with Davis and Thompson that's not horrible by any measure. [Reply]

Yeah, but then you're looking at Klay at the end of his prime and having to either pay or get rid of Kuzma, which would leave them with even fewer assets than they have right now. They need someone a little younger and currently healthy. It's the only way to thread the needle during and after LeBron after that insane trade that Pelinka made. [Reply]
That team is going to be on the move and quickly, even if I think Lonzo is a turd.
Holliday, Ball, Reddick, Zion, Ingram as your starters with Favors as a big that can finish and plays good defense, plus a developmental project like Hayes as a rim runner and protector. Then you have other guys that can contribute in some fashion like Okafor and Moore.

That team could win 45 games this year.
I think the whole world would get a good kick out of the Pelicans winning it all before AD did. :-) [Reply]

Yeah. Between my created player in 2K ending up on that team and the recent moves they've made, I definitely have a soft spot for them. I just wish they'd feed Lavar's dumb ass to a fucking gator, Dutch van der Linde-style. [Reply]
I’m a Hawks fan so them winning is not ideal, but I have always enjoyed watching players who demand a trade to a winner watch the team they left win it all.
Or maybe I have fantasized about watching this.... [Reply]
