I thought they had just extended it to June in AZ?

AZ can likely move to phase 1 in May. We need to start somewhere but full on opening would still be reckless.

Is anyone, anywhere doing a full blown re-opening?

It’s being talked about. Some are also skipping phase 1 and rightfully so in States with limited cases and population (Montana).

Well, I can see maybe places like Montana and Wyoming where they have really not be impacted at all. Other places need to start opening up yesterday but slowly.

No, they probably don't. Lots of people just ignore the law.

ALBANY, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) – Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Monday that the number of statewide random antibody tests has expanded to 7,500, which reveals a better picture of the extent of coronavirus spread in New York.

Cuomo said 14.9% of those tested statewide tested positive for COVID-19 antibodies, which is up from the initial 13.9% statewide when a previous sample of 3,000 people was done on April 22. Cuomo said the 1% increase is statistically in the margin of error.

Regionally, the results suggest:

24.7% positive in New York City
15.1% positive in Westchester/Rockland
14.4% positive on Long Island
3.2% positive in the rest of the state

That’s a rumor. Nothing official from the Gov.

It's all a matter of your definition of "open." I don't know of anywhere that's literally just saying, "OK, we're all back to normal." They might remove the mandatory rules, but everyone's sticking with general guidelines to avoid big groups, 6-foot guidelines in retail, etc.

The question is just whether or not that's enough, which is again why I'm so interested in Sweden.

It could just be the lack of a major outbreak and the weather making me feel like we're beyond it (not that it means we didn't do the right things to begin with, of course), but it really does seem like we're due for the 'starting somewhere' part this week, if not days ago.

Seems like to some extent it's moved from 'don't overwhelm the hospitals' to 'save every life possible'.... obviously, it shouldn't be "well, if only 50 more people die, at least we can go to Papadeaux's again", but still.

But.... it's hard to stay the course and do the right thing when everyone is also antsy as fuck.

Sweden’s Ambassador to the US has indicated that Stockholm could reach herd immunity by May.

30% of people in Stockholm have immunity already.
