Dotson is going to be a force in the next 3 years. Contender for national player of the year before he graduates. Doke probably stays. We should have a great team next year.
If Dotson was a natural passer he could be a potential lottery pick. Would be nice if we can get him for 3. We have a great chance at being elite the next couple of years just because he's on the team

If his 3 point shot comes around, he’ll be as good as Mason.

Frank became automatic when he could get his feet set. That helped open up his drives too.

Dotson could also learn how to create contact and draw fouls like Frank did. He bailed us out so many times by drawing cheap fouls. He would’ve pissed me off if he played for anyone else.

But that 97 team has always been my biggest 'what if'. I think that has been KU best team.

At least we lost to a team that won it all. Mike Bibby caught lightening in a bottle and Arizona played great. They deserve credit. But in a 7 game series, KU wins 9 times out of 10.

Agreed. 1997 is one of the best teams of all time. I think they beat the 2008 team 7 out of 10 times.

The Arizona winning it all helped heal the wound but at the moment it ended I didn't know that. The pain of that moment is the worst in all my sports bad moments. This includes all Chiefs losses.

2008 KU is the 2nd best team of the KenPom era (2002-present). It also ranked 26.90 in the SRS compared to 26.60 for 1997 KU: https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/schools/kansas/

Chances are that 2008 KU wins.

yeah....if this KU had it's full squad, I'd prob say KU has a good chance of beating Roy (again).

But no Doka, DeSousa...KU would get killed down low.
