Fuck
Therein lies my problem with Sutton and why needs to go. Ragland and Parker in no way should be starting. [Reply]

Bob has a poor mentality of "wait and see" with the linebackers and safeties. Because of that way of thinking, we don't attack.
With 53, 59 & 38 not being the best players, by the time they identify plays, it's too late.
Oh.
So it's your position that we should have safeties and ILB's who aren't asked to identify plays, eh?
Just pick a spot and run to it. Fuck what the ballcarriers or blockers are doing - just run somewhere.
You realize that doing this is exactly what is getting us in trouble as often as not, yes? It's Parker blowing coverage by failing to just get in his !@#$ing zone. Or it's Hitchens leaving his to chase the ballcarrier only to see the ballcarrier cut back into where he was supposed to be. It's Ragland trying to 'flow' with the runningback only to get beat to the edge or if he manages to get there, get dragged 3 yards.
Jesus, you people keep saying this and every single time I ask for ANY evidence of it...{crickets}
Please demonstrate the difference between our system and others. Do you really think the Ravens were just having their ILBs blast downfield Sunday? Of course they weren't - they were doing the same thing we were. A notable difference being that we don't present as credible an outside run threat so they didn't have to worry about contain as much. It allowed them to be less outside cautious and it really made it easier for their DEs to set the edges and turn everything inside. At that point their 'flow' time was reduced and the plays were much easier. Meanwhile we had to remain outside conscious because of the threat of Jackson pulling the ball and going wide. It opened up gaps up the middle and our ILBs were where they were supposed to be, they simply weren't powerful enough at the point of attack.
And had you just had them run-blitzing the A and B gaps all day, Jackson just keeps it and murders you to the outside.
This is just so mind-numbingly tiresome. Just day after day after day of unsupported nebulous horseshit from folks that lack the chops to actually marshall a !@#$ing argument.
Read and react....jesus. Yeah, you're right - we're the only team that has its defense change what it does based on the offense. Everyone else just plays Tecmo Bowl and guess what the play is gonna be beforehand.

Wait, so we lead the league in sacks without blitzing but our players suck? We lead the league in sacks without Bob Sutton doing a damn thing. He just sits there and forces our defenders to win the hard way.
Bob Sutton sucks, his scheme sucks, his adjustments suck, his player development sucks
Seattle rebuilt their defense and they are already lightyears better than us.
Our defensive coaches are terrible, they can't develop shit. [Reply]
