I don’t take that incredibly seriously. That’s the stated asking price, but if someone wowed then with an offer (silly example: Wander Franco) that including an elite-elite guy at A+ or lower, they’d take it.
I think they start there and use that language as leverage to up the return of a team tries to offer a lower-level return.
After I get the kids to bed, I’ll work up potentials deals that I think would get the Royals to pull the trigger.
Dodgers
Braves
Phillies
Rays
Padres
^ teams that I’ll start with. If anyone is interested in me shaping a deal for another team, shout it and I’ll work on it. [Reply]

I find it hard to believe the Dodgers would do it. Since Friedman has been in charge they've shown very little interest in trading their elite-elite top prospects. They didn't even do that for Machado. [Reply]

True on that point as well. Perhaps we will know by later tonight or tomorrow. That being said, what team would really need a catcher at this point? I can't seem to think of one that really needs one, off of my head. [Reply]
No word yet on why Martin Maldonado left the game early. Do know that the Phillies are looking for catching depth and had a scout here. And the Astros are believed to be interested in Maldonado again. We shall see.
