Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! [Reply]
Mahomes likes to have fun, he likes for his team to have fun and get pumped up. He's also a smart guy, and learns from his mistakes. I have a feeling we won't be seeing no-look passes from him for quite some time. He doesn't need them anyway, his arsenal is complete without them. [Reply]
Mahomes is so fun to watch. Yes, there's all the crazy improv plays, and things only he can do physically... But this is QB 101 perfection!
Calmly climbs the pocket, eyes downfield, doesn't flinch knowing he's going to take a hit, and delivers a perfect strike.#KCvsJAXpic.twitter.com/ATufsEg41K
Have we ever had a quarterback who is so easily forgiven after attempting (and missing badly) a 3rd and 3 no-look pass to a wide-open tight end from the 9-yard line (in a 7-point game in the 1st quarter, no less)? Has anyone?
How much tolerance and forbearance has a guy accrued to skate on something like that? I've never seen anything like it. And in one, single year ...
At this point, Mahomes could strangle a puppy and people would blame the dog.

To be fair, that puppy was a huge pain in the ass
Chewing up our shoes, shitting on the couch... it had to go [Reply]
Max Kellerman calling Mahomes the best player in football.
It begins. So many people predicted regression. He picks up right where he left off and the reaction is going to be welp. He's a generational talent. He's what we though Luck was going to be. [Reply]

I think the more pressing factor was this game being fairly in hand throughout most of the day, and Mahomes already performing well on the day.
Nothwithstanding his impressive development already, if he'd made that same mistake and the Jags stayed with us, or even won the game, there'd be less forgiveness.
When players are performing well, you have to shake off the brainfarts you can afford to. Regardless of the stature of the player, if you dwell on single stupid plays despite overall quality play, you are fucking with their mojo. [Reply]
