Had NO control, would pick it up with my left hand and it'd flop to my side like dead meat no matter how hard I tried... boy I was a PANICKED MFER that morning :-)
I once had that happen with both arms. I have no idea what position I was sleeping in, but when I woke up both arms were dangling like uvulas. I spent a long three minutes or so pondering if I would ever use a doorknob again. [Reply]

With no arms, there is still a way to use a door knob. I bet it isn't pleasant feeling.... [Reply]

Can't even imagine it happening with both arms, yeeesh... one was more than scary enough
And yes, wondering about just what position one must sleep in, and for how long, to make that happen is a genuine mystery
Always been told we roll around constantly while asleep, so just what the hell were we doing lol [Reply]
Getting old sucks for sure. I have worked on my feet for 40 years never had any problems. TILL THE COVID VACCINE. Yeah after griping from my wife I signed up in my County registry me and wife. I figured it would be months before I got a text and hoped wife would as she works bartending and server at the casino. Well, boom one week after enrolling I get a text from Operation safe with login info to select the date and time. So this last Thursday I head to Cerner in NKC and goes smooth as in and have my Moderna shot in 10 minutes wait 15 minutes in recovery and out the door. The hills of rock creek office park have a steep grade back up to parking. I am hauling ass as I have rest day off then pop and pain from knee half down the calf and down goes Frazier. I try to get up and my leg buckles again. I look around and there is a retaining wall and a fire hose connection sticking out, I grab and pull myself up stunned. I still have half this grade to get to more level ground. An old 70+ woman stops asks if I need help and I say no my knee just gave out she said her husband has the same thing. I try to walk and find if I lean into the retaining wall next to walk it takes some weight off the fucked left knee. I limp to the crown of grade and retaining wall ends I am on my own but my car is in sight. A security guard directing traffic asks if I need help I refuse because I am stubborn. Leg hurt but on the flatter ground, I am able to limp and hop to the car. I get in pull my useless limb into the car and I am out of that shithole thanks COVID.
Then Later that evening I get a sore arm tired go to bed about 4 am I need to shit bad real bad. I was lucky as I have my brother drop off my late father's cane and I work my way like a feeble old man to the toilet and get six inches from the seat and there she blows. I should have been a bombardier as it was a bullseye stream of water ass. This continued every half hour till I said enough and took an anti diareal. So Covid vaccine free but its gonna cost the Doctor Monday and He will like always refer me to a specialist. Yeah if I haven't said it fuck COVID. [Reply]

Lol I have done that so many times. For a second when I woke up I had to pick up my dead arm with my other arm to get out of bed. It felt like I had someone else's arm in my hand. [Reply]
