You'd just expect Vegas to be like $200 million over the cap one of these offseasons.
(and 1000%, if Landeskog was available, he'd be off LTIR in a second... but he's, you know, hurt)
Figured they would of had this fixed by now since Tampa Bay did it already [Reply]

I don't even mind it much if a team legitimately doesn't know if a player will be back for the playoffs... it's still sketchy (like if Landeskog was suddenly healthy), but in a way you aren't being punished by players under contract being injured and not being able to act at the trade deadline accordingly.
And then a couple teams make it blatantly obvious they're taking advantage of the system, and they'll fuck it up for everyone.
Granted.... Vegas was more watchable last year with Eichel and far more watchable now that they're $20 million over the cap. :-) [Reply]
That's a terrible replay of it, probably for the purpose of creating clicks and drama... there are already plenty of good reasons to hate Marchand without making up stuff, he was clearly slashed in the back of his left knee and it was a really, really easy call. Probably hurt, too.

Bertuzzi is an idiot to "slash" Marchand in that fashion after a whistle, but that's a clear dive to exaggerate for a call and it worked. Almost always does in all these sports if you play it off right.
Marchands going to play in the premier league now.
This is shameful stuff from marchand, and the refs should feel embarrassed, but you can see Bert decide he's going to do this from all the way in the corner. It's his lack of discipline in that moment that kicks off the the chain of events that gives marchand the chance to flop.
