Snyder's Man of Steel, which rebooted the Superman franchise, has grossed north of $600 million worldwide since it hit theaters this June.

According to two sources with knowledge of the movie, Warner Bros. intends to announce the news at its Comic-Con International panel Saturday morning. Said a Warner Bros. spokesperson, “We don’t comment on rumors regarding these properties.”
“Man of Steel” director Zack Snyder is expected to reunite with screenwriter David S. Goyer and star Henry Cavill for the new film. It’s unlikely Christian Bale will step back into the bat suit, as the actor has indicated publicly that he has moved on from his days as Bruce Wayne.
“Man of Steel” producer and “Dark Knight” trilogy director Christopher Nolan is expected by some to produce the project, but the exact nature of his involvement is unclear.
The move marks the culmination of years of effort on the part of Warner Bros. and DC Comics to bring their superheroes together in a similar fashion to their primary competitor Marvel, which successfully combined its superheroes into a $1.5-billion box-office hit with “The Avengers.”
In the comic world, the two heroes are teaming up in a new series, “Batman/Superman,” by writer Greg Pak and artist Jae Lee.

He's really grown as an actor, you might be surprised how good he is in this... people said those same things about Ledger as the Joker, Cruise as Lestat etc. [Reply]

Affleck is a much better actor now then he used to be. I was pissed when Ledger got the role, i say give him a chance. [Reply]
The first Superman movie wasn't all that bad. They should have stuck with just him and introduced Lex in the 2nd movie. The 3rd movie is when you bring Batman in if you absolutely have too. It's too fucking soon after Nolan's Batman. And it's watering down Superman. [Reply]

I can agree. Superman has some legitimately good villains out there. Brainiac, Luthor, Darkseid, Doomsday, etc.
Problem is though, once you introduce those guys, what use do we have for a Batman? (Realistically speaking) [Reply]

I agree that they should've had a real all out Superman movie and are rushing into this. That said, no choice and i dont have high hopes but hope for a nice suprise. [Reply]

Well I'll be the first to say that I never wanted Batman in the new Superman movies at all. To me....Nolan's Batman was the pinnacle. It was never going to get better than that. But if you had to bring him in.....then you give Superman a couple of movies and you spin it off into the Justice League. [Reply]

Seriously... even since he did The Town and Argo, he did Runner Runner. The guy is not a solid bet, at all. And the only two things he's done that he was really ****ing good in, he directed. [Reply]

So are you saying he cant act.....or he cant pick good projects outside of his directorial efforts? [Reply]
