I guess we filled up the old one... http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=280149

Welcome to 2014! Now get your ass in top physical condition!

No one else started it so here it is!

**From the 2013 Thread**

If you want to get back into lifting, or need a new lifting routine, START HERE:

http://startingstrength.wikia.com/wi...inner_Programs

If you have questions about the SS programs, look here:

http://startingstrength.wikia.com/wiki/FAQ

Keep in mind that you're a novice lifter for a longer period of time than you think you are. Novice lifting can last anywhere from a few months to a year or two, depending on how hard you hit the weights and where you started.

Once you've reached the point where you don't make regular progress on the SS program, you are ready to move on to the intermediate stage, which can last you for a good number of years. Find it HERE:

http://madcow.hostzi.com/5x5_Program/Linear_5x5.htm

If you're a very advanced lifter (many, many years of CONSISTENT weight training), then there are lot of programs out there, and which one you pick is simply a matter of preference. If you're really that advanced, you should know what works for you and what doesn't by this point.

If I had to pick one I would say its more important to eat healthy foods but if you're avoiding unhealthy foods then aren't you essentially eating healthy foods by default.

On a side note...

****. CRUNCH CRUNCH CRUNCH goes the shoulder. This is going to be a long road back to benching 225+. Just 135 feels like ****ing torture.

I can't bench without it now. My shoulders have been crap for a while now.

Post some pics of your home setup when your done. Best decision I ever made was building a basement gym once we started having kids. I still have a golds membership since its across from my office, but only go maybe 5-6 days a month. rest is in the dungeion.

I broke my arm and didn't lift for like a year. Then I started lifting again and it took me like 2-years to get back to where I was but my previous figure took me like 8-years to get.

So yeah it is a reality but you still have to be patient. But keep lifting and it should come back relatively quickly.

Yeah, I've been consistent with my program/nutrition and its still coming back fast. Have way too much fat on me though. I'm kinda regretting not cutting further. I would've been damn skinny. Thinking about stopping this bulk a little short at the end of May or so and cutting. I'd like to get on a normal summer cut, winter bulk schedule too. I'm gonna be doing everything backwards if I stick with my original plan.

Problem is I have slightly funny measurements. I have a big wingspan for my height plus a broad chest/shoulders and not enough muscle in my core. I look kinda disproportionate without a decent amount of muscle in my midsection. Hoping that fills out fairly quickly. Seems to be moving along a little more slowly than the rest of me.

It won't. I'll sometimes take 1-2 weeks off at a time.

I'm not fat.

It's just residual guilt from being a lazy fat fuck.

I've been moving house the last two weeks and lifting tons of heavy shit and have pretty much skipped 2/3 of my usual weekly lifting sessions.

As long as your diet is on point you're not going to gain any weight or lose muscle.
