It’s going to be very challenging to find a team willing to pay the price the Royals would have to have.
Of course, this assumes Moore is being honest when talking about needing to be blown away to move Merrifield.
He generally is being honest when he talks about how they value a player and what they need, but I do generally caution people not to put too much stock in what he says publicly... [Reply]

Nobody claimed he was humanity’s savior. Only that he’s a really good arm and always serviceable....which you can’t say about DMs last two boo-pen groups eh? [Reply]
Yes, they definitely should have cut one of our terrible bullpen pieces from those awful 2014-15 bullpens to hang onto a guy with a 5 ERA during a pennant race, just so he could figure it out and become our closer 5 years down the road on a 100 loss team. Great plan. [Reply]

He's more interested in being a club house minister than being a GM. [Reply]
You do understand that people have more options for channels & how they watch TV nowadays right? The days of 3 channels is over. You will continue to see every sport's all star game get less ratings, at least NBA, MLB, NHL, NFL etc. [Reply]

While i dont disagree that it affects viewership numbers, the AS games in general just arent as interesting as they were.
As a kid growing up in the 80's the AS games were celebrated and reverred by everyone. Nowadays, there is so much national sports coverage that you get to see these "stars" every day (and/or any time you want). We are just desensitized to a collective event like this. [Reply]
