May I suggest a second viewing of the 2018 Steelers game? Speaks got pushed to the ground repeatedly when going against offensive linemen. I’m not sure if it’s strength or technique but something is (currently) lacking. He has some valid excuses (It is early in his career and he has been out of position), but at this point there isn’t much to hang his hat on. [Reply]
I wouldn't hate on Breeland speaks so much if he had been taken in the 4th round. Instead we traded up to take the equivalent of Turk McBride in the 2nd round. 2nd round picks should be players who either contribute right away or at some point in their first year or two. Kpass has done nothing in 2 years. Speaks I suppose still could do something this year, but he's buried on the depth chart. If we're going to build a talented roster around Mahomes after he's on a huge contract we really cannot afford draft picks like Kpass and Speaks. 2 players at roughly the same position taken 2 years in a row are JAGS to date. That's inexcusable [Reply]
This offense is going to be harder to stop than any offense in history.
Mahomes ability to buy time by scrambling and escaping pressure coupled with every bodies elite speed on offense is going to make even the best defenses hopeless.
No defense can cover all that speed for 5-6 seconds. [Reply]

We were under the impression that being season tickets holders would have the pavilion and a team autograph session afterwards but all we saw was Chris Jones and Demarcus Robinson come down after practice. Did anyone who stayed later see any other Chiefs come out to sign autographs outside of fighting crowds for the hill? [Reply]

Patrick Mahomes had a long chat with Brett Veach on the field during the second-team live period. Have to think the reigning MVP has earned himself at least a little input on the team’s roster decisions. #Chiefs
They just need to bite the bullet and add Dieter to the staff somehow.
He’s not making the 53 man roster but if Pat likes him, you have to find a way to keep him around. [Reply]
Also, if Speaks follows through to the end of the play against the Patriots during the regular season, Mahomes would have a win against Brady and the amount of bluster from idiot losers like Skip Bayless and Eric Mangini would have been significantly lessened. As it was, he pulled a Dee Ford rookie move, Brady waltzed in for the TD, and we had to hear all about how Brady is still the better QB for weeks on end.
It's not lining up offsides to give the AFC Championship to Brady-level bad, but it's still pretty stupid even for a rookie. Guarantee you he doesn't pull up if he's in that same position in college. Did he just get scared or what? [Reply]

or Pat could pay him to mow the yard. Or HyVee could hire him to stock Patty Flakes... [Reply]
