About to hit the 5000 post mark on the old thread, the first season 7 trailer today seems like the right time to start the final Game of Thones thread.
I'm going back to the original rules pre-2015. I don't think we need supervision or bannings. Just don't be a dick. Post anything you find online that hasn't aired yet inside of spoiler tags. That's pretty much it. I think we can all handle that...

yeah l don’t see any way they can defeat them without killing the night king. They kill the night king, the zombies turn back into a pile of dead bones. After their experience north of the wall, I’m assuming they will try to kill the head of the snake.
Of course the King would be ready for that move. I don’t see a successful strategy of brute forcing the battle to wherever the night king is physically located. He’s going to be well protected and maybe he can teleport to a different area, get on his ice dragon and ride away etc. we really don’t know the night King’s capabilities in the TV version.
He is going down. No way HBO allows them to end GOT with the dead winning. [Reply]

She just so OP now. She can infiltrate anywhere as anyone, is knowledgeable on poisons, and now, apparently, can fight 1-on-1 with the best fighters in Westeros.
True, but look at who she was trained by. The Faceless Men are highly trained assassins. [Reply]

Yeah, Jaqen Hghar is clearly a fucking boss.
I just think an assassin's work should be done in the shadows. Jaqen's killed like 12 people in the series and we've never even seen him with a weapon. I never got the sense that he was offing dudes with a long sword- a poisoned dart here, a push over a ledge there... [Reply]

Sure, but I've always figured he, and the other Faceless would be able to fight their way out of some places if they really had too. We know Arya can be sneaky with poison :-) Also, it's a safe bet that she continued to practice what she learned from Dancing Master Syrio Forel (who you might recall was a true badass with a wood sword, just imagine what he would have done with steel), and remembered everything he taught her (the books say she did). Lastly, don't forget all the time she spent with The Hound. There are lots of places Arya could have learned enough to become extremely good. [Reply]

I suppose you're right. I hadn't considered her training with Syrio and Sandor.
So what role does this uber powerful young lady play in the end game? [Reply]

I think her and the Hound take a journey south this season. I think she gives Catspaw to Jon and then quests toward some unfinished business with Cersei while the Hound journeys for the biggest bowl of them all. [Reply]
This pretty much has to be the best season so far, right?
Hate that it was only seven episodes, but it seems like they crammed ten episodes worth into them... so much happened
All the living Starks reunited
Red Wedding avenged
A dragon goes down, then up again
The northern wall is ice cubes, such a cool scene
Jon Snow is revealed to be John Sand
Little Finger finally get his just reward
An incestuous king and queen pair up
Jamie Lannister finally gives up on that c**t, figured that was gonna happen at some point
Next season will be worth every penny if only to see Cersei go down, man alive I swear she must be RR Martins alter ego... such a deceitful, mean spirited, and spiteful wench
The Night King needs to be the one who takes her down and turns her, thats exactly what she deserves
And I foresee Jon ending the war with the undead by somehow sacrificing himself so that Dany can take the throne
This, the Sopranos, and Deadwood... the 3 best tv shows ever made, cant believe how long I gotta wait for season 8 :-) [Reply]

It was actually revealed he is a Targaryen. Rhaegar and Lyanna were married. [Reply]

I think her major roles in killing leaders are done. She wiped out the whole clan that killed her mom and brother. Killed the one who set off all this suffering for her family.
There are two major killings to take place next year. I think Jamie has to kill Cersi and Jon has to kill or die trying the night king.
Clegane bowl has to happen. The mountain cant continue to live when GOT ends. The brother has to kill him to take the story full circle from getting his face pushed into the fire. [Reply]

And they eat every fucking chicken in the room. [Reply]

Yep that jumped the shark to the point of being comical. Doesn't matter how much you've trained under Syrio Forel or anyone else someone three times your size with a 6 foot long broadsword will bludgeon you silly. [Reply]

If Brienne was carrying Oathkeeper it would have been over in 5 seconds. [Reply]
