Re: Harmonquest - Lordy is Elizabeth Olsen a natural at RPG. She's on the latest episode, and although she says her sole exposure to RPG is the previous season of HQ and the first season of Stranger Things, she rolls right with it. Usually the guest and audience laugh at the regular's quips and flights of fancy, but she has Dan, Erin and Jess cracking up with her delivery. [Reply]
The soundtrack, graphics and the period music is really great in this series. The kids are all believable too and well casted...that's no easy task. Director is obviously a Kubrick fan...kid running in the school hallway was straight out of the Shining.
I hated Modine's acting/character in the first season...it was really distracting/forced...about the only thing I didn't like. Paul Reiser's role as a doctor is much more natural... [Reply]
Just finished it. Really enjoyed it. The side track to Chicago seemed kind of pointless unless they are using it to set up something for season 3. [Reply]
Acting was really good and I liked all of the new characters. Couple of things bugged me:
-just do away with episode 7. No reason for that story to waste an episode on someone else from the psych ward. Seemed very pointless and out there.
-didn't really get to see the monster much. Maybe this will be a build up for season 3.
-Winona Ryder is still a bad fit for this role IMO.

I really liked season two. I can’t tell if the end was a set up for season 3 or if it was just kind of a “Stranger Things” ending. Season one was clearly set up for season two in several ways... this one for the most part just ended it. [Reply]
