I have to confess, I'm a huge alcoholic and always have been, I've been sober in increments of 5 years and one other time for ten years. I recently reflected on how much I have been/was consuming. I'm completely through this time. I just can't do it anymore. I'll be honest - after this last time, I'm lucky to even be here right now.
I love you guys and promise to each of you, this is the new beginning to my life and I'm completely done with drinking.
Thanks for the ear. If anyone else is struggling. Please feel free to chime in if you wish.
Nice work, bro. The Chiefs haven't lost any playoff games since you've been sober so keep it up and we'll be toasting a Super Bowl - with sparkling cider - in no time.

Great job buddy. You've got this. This time YOU win. [Reply]
SR, I'm glad to hear you are hanging in there and fighting the fight. It's a fight you will obviously need to fight forever. I'm with the "pick up a hobby" crowd. Start fishing, golfing, making knives or some other projects. I know you will get it done man. I agree most with FDE. Find the triggers that make you want to take that first drink. Learn to manage those. Prayers buddy. [Reply]
